There’s no single right way through. We start where you are.
Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and neither are we. Different people and different goals call for different approaches. Our therapists are trained in a range of methods, and we work with you to find what fits your life, your history, and what you’re hoping to change.
Here are some of the approaches our therapists draw from:
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
helps you make room for hard thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, so you can put your energy toward the life you actually want to live.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
looks at how your thoughts, feelings, and actions connect, and helps you shift the patterns that keep you stuck.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) informed care
builds practical skills for managing intense emotions, staying steady in hard moments, and navigating relationships, useful when feelings run big or fast.
EMDR
is a structured approach for working through trauma and painful memories, helping your mind process what happened so it loses some of its grip.
Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT)
works with your emotions as a source of insight and connection, helpful for understanding yourself and strengthening your relationships.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
works with the different parts of you, the protector, the critic, the part that’s been hurt, so they can stop fighting each other. It helps you meet even the hardest parts of yourself with less judgment.
Motivational Interviewing (MI)
is a collaborative, judgment-free way of working through change. It meets you where you are and helps you find your own reasons and readiness to move forward, at your own pace, without pressure.
Narrative Therapy
looks at the stories you carry about who you are and where they came from. It helps you separate yourself from the problem and author a version of your story that fits who you actually are.
Solution-Focused Therapy
starts from what’s already working and builds on it. Instead of digging endlessly into what’s wrong, it helps you name what you want more of and take real steps toward it.
Somatic Therapy
works with the body, not only the mind. Because stress and trauma live in the nervous system, this approach helps you notice and release what you hold physically, so healing isn’t something you only think through
Additional Methods
Several of our therapists also train in methods built by and for BIPOC and queer communities, including liberation-based, culturally adapted, and Latinx mental health approaches. That means the reality of identity and oppression is part of the work.
Depending on your therapist, we also draw on trauma-focused CBT, exposure-based approaches, harm reduction, and other evidence-based methods. Our therapists have different trainings and specialties, so the care you get is matched to you, rather than trying ot use the same approach for everyone.
Most of the time, we work eclectically, blending these approaches rather than picking just one. An eclectic approach means we draw from different methods to fit you, rather than making you fit one method. What matters most isn’t the technique; it’s the fit between you and your therapist, and the trust you build together. That relationship is what makes the real work possible.

Insurance and fees
We work hard to make therapy as accessible as possible. We accept several insurance plans, including several Medicaid plans, and offer a grant to cover therapy as well.
Meet your future therapist
Research shows the single biggest predictor of whether therapy helps is the therapeutic relationship between the two of you. When you trust your therapist, feel safe with them, and agree on what you’re working toward together, therapy works better. Feeling heard, safe, and understood, including in your identity and culture, is what makes the hard work of therapy possible. We do our best to find you a great match, and your input matters.
Our team brings different specialties, styles, and lived experiences. Browse our team and use the filters to find your match.

A note about calling 911
If you or someone else is in immediate danger and you need to call 911, please know that police are not trained to provide mental health care. For Black and Brown people, trans people, disabled people, and people in psychiatric crisis, a police response can make things more dangerous. If you can, ask a friend, neighbor, or family member to be there with you when they arrive.
