Our Approaches to Care
There’s no single right way through. We start where you are.
Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and neither are we. Different people, and different goals, call for different approaches. Our therapists are trained in a range of methods, and we work with you to find what fits your life, your history, and what you’re hoping to change. You don’t need to know any of these names or pick one yourself. That’s our job. This is just a look at some of the ways we work.
Here are some of the approaches our therapists draw from:
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps you make room for hard thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, so you can put your energy toward the life you actually want to live.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) informed care builds practical skills for managing intense emotions, staying steady in hard moments, and navigating relationships, useful when feelings run big or fast.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) looks at how your thoughts, feelings, and actions connect, and helps you shift the patterns that keep you stuck.
EMDR is a structured approach for working through trauma and painful memories, helping your mind process what happened so it loses some of its grip.
Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) works with your emotions as a source of insight and connection, helpful for understanding yourself and strengthening your relationships.
Most of the time, we work eclectically, blending these approaches rather than picking just one. An eclectic approach means we draw from different methods to fit you, instead of making you fit one method. What matters most isn’t the technique, it’s the fit between you and your therapist, and the trust you build together. That relationship is what makes the real work possible.
Not sure what you need? You don’t have to be. Reach out, and we’ll help you find the approach and the therapist that fit.
