Virtual & In-Person Appointments Offered
I believe much of the work in therapy comes from setting down what we’ve been told about ourselves, the world, and how we should look, act, or be. When we let go, we regain the power to tell our own stories and write what happens next.
I have experience working with college students and adults who identify as LGBTQIA+ with a range of experiences including anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity, stress management, ADHD, and relationship challenges. I also provide assessment and support for affirming care through WPATH letters of support.
Therapy can be about processing and understanding the past, but it can also be about the here-and-now, the present moment, and deciding what we do next. I like to make space for the good things too, for humor, your interests, your pets; whatever gets you excited or relaxed is welcome in the room. I want you to be the driving force of your goals, to explore and decide what works for you, which means getting creative and taking initiative in and outside of session.
If you prefer highly structured therapy, worksheets, or rigid homework, I may not be the best fit for you. Comfort in therapy also means feeling safe talking about what’s not working, and I’m happy to talk about things that don’t feel great in the room or that make it hard to show up in session. I do my best to stay flexible, whether that’s moving between virtual and in-person sessions, rescheduling appointments to accommodate chronic health or other matters, or changing the sensory dynamics of the room.
If you’re nervous about reaching out or starting therapy, that’s completely normal, and I’m happy to meet for a short consultation to get to know each other better and talk more about what therapy might look like with the two of us. If you decide it’s not a good fit that’s okay too, my goal for you is to get what you need, even if that’s not with me. You decide what happens next; I’m here to help.
When I’m not working, I love playing video games, getting creative, and hanging out with my three black cats (virtual clients might see them keeping me company during sessions!).

I hope to make therapy as comfortable as possible while we wade into often difficult or uncomfortable topics. That means a more casual approach and no judgment; we’re here to do the best we can do, whether we feel unstoppable or struggled to make it into the room that day. However you show up, I’m glad you’re here and I hope to be a safe and consistent collaborator as we work toward your goals. I primarily use cognitive-behaviorally informed and solution-focused approaches to understand how we’ve learned to be in the world and use creative and collaborative problem-solving to create the story of you meeting your goals.
